A multi-author blogging platform that gave Nokia’s S60 teams a direct line to the developer and influencer community
As social media and community manager for Nokia’s S60 platform — the smartphone software built on Symbian — I led the creation of a blogging hub designed to serve our global ecosystem of users, influencers, and developers. The result was the S60 Blogs, a network of over a dozen topic-specific blogs that gave voice to the many teams behind S60 and offered our community a direct, authentic line to the platform.
Each blog had its own identity, author(s), and editorial focus. Topics ranged from app reviews, mobile security, and platform development, to deep dives from the S60 audio team, UI team, browser team, and even the S60 marketing team. This structure allowed us to spotlight the people behind the product — developers, designers, and marketers alike — while creating tailored content for a wide variety of audiences.
I served as editor-in-chief for the platform, overseeing content quality, tone, and publishing schedules across the network. I also authored See Into S60, a blog of my own focused on helping users get the most out of their S60 smartphones — featuring application reviews, device previews, multimedia tips, freeware finds, and curated S60 news from around the web.
Beyond content creation, I provided technical and editorial support to contributors, ensured alignment with Nokia’s brand voice, and actively monitored and engaged with our growing community. The S60 Blogs were a major step in giving the platform a human voice — and in building lasting relationships with the people who used, built for, and talked about Nokia smartphones.
