Master the Surf and Stay Dry in “Waves Over Waikiki”

Doing a self playtest of my push your luck, hand management, and tile-laying prototype titled, “Waves Over Waikiki” for 2-4 players and lasts roughly 30 minutes.

Set on a single day in 1960’s Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii, players are rival hotel concierges sending their guests to various activities on the beach and in the ocean.

The closer your guests get to the waves, the more points they earn, but if they wave hits them…their vacation is ruined and score nothing at all!

On your turn, players play a domino-shaped card from their hand onto a free spot on the board and places their guest marker on top. Throughout the game, the waves begin to crash upon the shore. Like trying to predict the stock market, players attempt to predict and influence where the waves will land.

Once the waves reach the end of the board, the day is over. Without the need for a scorepad or scoretrack, players easily add up their score and the hotel with the happiest guests is the winner!
