Sitting around my Aunt Peggy’s dinner table on Christmas Day I couldn’t get over the ridiculousness of my family’s Baltimore accent. With every sip of boxed wine, I could hear their “Baltimorese” grow thicker.
I grabbed a magic marker, index cards, and my iPhone and captured some off these lingual mystic from these Baltimorons.
What was meant as a funny Christmas video for a few friends on Facebook turned into a viral craze around Maryland. A cousin asked if I could make the video public so he could share with his friends in Nebraska. I woke up the next morning with 1+ million views and e-mails from local news outlets and a request for an interview with the Baltimore Sun.
