Description
Welcome to Boomtown Builders, a competitive strategy game set in the booming Old West, where 2-4 players become shrewd speculators, racing to profit from a rapidly expanding town. With the promise of a new train route on the horizon, you’ll invest in land, businesses, and infrastructure projects, all with the goal of becoming the most successful builder in the boomtown.
Each turn, you’ll draft a building to place on the board. Then, decide how much to invest: play it safe with a small investment or risk it all for a bigger payout by placing a medium or large investment token. Small investments are steady, but those bold enough to make larger investments stand to earn triple the points! Success hinges on your ability to predict the train’s path and make smart bets on the town’s future.
After each player places a building, the train moves one step closer to the sunset using a unique voting mechanic. The game ends when the train reaches the end of the board, and then it’s time to count your profits! Points are earned based on how close your properties are to the train tracks—proximity is everything.
But that’s not all: special buildings have the power to influence the train’s direction, nudging it closer to your investments and further from your rivals’. The smartest players know when to capitalize on their opponents’ moves and when to strike out on their own for a big payday. Time your actions, outmaneuver your competition, and emerge as the most celebrated builder in Boomtown!
